(Houston)WTB Sig P226 in 9mm

I've recently developed an interest in adding a P226 to the collection. An SRT is a plus but not a necessity. Does anyone have one for sale or trade? Or has anyone seen one for a fair price at a gun store recently?

Try and find a Texas edition P226. it has the shape of Texas laser etched on the slide, Texas state seal on the grips, and has special serial numbers with the TX prefix.

They sell for $900, seen them at a few gun stores in the Houston area.

Tracked one down at a pawn shop in Deer Park area for $1000. Thinking about running up there after work. I've never bought a gun at a pawn shop before...what is the etiquette for haggling? Can you generally talk them down?

I've never paid full price at a pawn shop. I don't low-ball, I just get straight to the point. They've never refused any of my offers, but I only go down like 5-10%.

On a $1000 asking price, I would offer $1000 out the door in cash. That would be about $75 off, and a very reasonable price IMO.

Just remember, cash is king.

If you've got the cash make them an offer. Is it a new gun, if so the price is probably firm. If it is used, I would guess the trade in would be around $700.

She said on the phone that it was new in the plastic case with 2 mags. I was thinking something along the lines of what you suggested Alex....$1000 cash out the door. If I'm able to get it I'm going to be really sad that I'm out of 9mm. Gotta hunt some of that down too.

I hired a guy to find it for me and he came up with this one in less than 12 hours. If he finds out about any others today I'll be sure to PM you.
