No, they'll fare the same...just being chinesium doesn't make them stand 10' tall with balls of steel...they'll die just like all those who came before...leave afg. alone and you'll be much better off...and much less dead.

They're tough, tough, bastards who don't fear death or all the misery before death strikes...it's their old country and if you invade they'll fk you up...

Afghans have been fighting over there for thousands of years against invaders. The Russians were not exactly weak sisters in the game of war, and brought a lot of firepower with them. Lot of good it did them.

Killing cockroaches even with advanced chemical warfare results in cutting and running!

Having spent three deployments in AFG, you’ve got to want the land more than they do if you want to win. Every square inch of it. Then, you’ve got to want to keep it more than they want it back.

Not an easy thing to do.

In fairness, if China "wants the land more than they do", then in taking it they will simultaneously solve the problem of anyone wanting it back.

That is exactly what I mean. China does not care about the world response to its treatment of the Uyghurs, the folks in Hong Kong, or in Tiananmen square, so who would care more about the Taliban?
