Howdy from the Central Coast of California

I have some Texas roots (also recently admitted to TX bar last summer) but never visited the state before, unless you count a quick drive through El Paso on the way to Carlsbad Caverns, some years ago.

Will be making our first trip to Texas later this month. Attending a Jeep Jamboree at Palo Duro, and will drive around the state as much as time permits.

I'm a longtime 2A activist here in CA. I've trained actively and borne arms for over twenty years, and have taught concealed carry almost that long, although I'm also a big proponent of open carry.


Texans are the best people on the planet. (But I like my hillside ocean view and running on the beach!)

Being half way between L.A. and San Francisco, you're kinda between a rock and a hard place when it comes to 2A. What kind of gun trust do you have there?
