I found a Ruger 10/22 for $169.99

I was at the pawn shop last night (Cash America) and saw a stock older10/22 for $169.99. It looked to be in pretty good shape (I'd say 90% or better), and even had the scope rail and a compact Bushnell .22 scope.

I put it on layaway. What do you think - a fair deal? I like the older 10/22s with their metal trigger guards and lack of krinkle paint on the receiver. Serial number started with 247-.

That is a pretty good deal. You should love the rifle, and the aftermarket is huge for it.

If it were the gun only, not a good deal. The gun with the rail and scope, not a bad deal.

New the 10/22s are about $180 - 200, so figure another $50 for the scope and rail. You saved a solid $100 or so for a good .22
