Check their website. If I'm not mistaken they now have to list they're policy online I'd they don't allow guns.

HB 333*Firearms in Hotels*requires hotels which restrict the possession, storage or transportation of firearms to notify guests of such policies on their websites or when confirming reservations.**(Effective 9/1/13)

So they can give a verbal "No you can't". Screw that.

Then I would ask to speak to management and inform them that they are not in compliance with the law since it is apparently not on their website that CC is prohibited. Often, when speaking with a clerk, they are unfamiliar with the policy of their employer and generally do not know the laws. Often you will find management well versed in this area and would get the answer you are looking for. So, as stated by others as well, call. I would believe they will tell you yes you can but the only way to know is to call.

besides, if they DO have posted signs - or prohibit concealed carry - then we have to respect that

he can choose to carry and risk the consequences if discovered -but its better to know for sure than not

Don't have the TX state laws in front of me but IIRC all they have to do (any employee) is notify you you not to carry at their place and that's enough.

    ETA:

    PENAL CODE

or an aircraft or other vehicle, without effective consent and the person:
    (1)
had notice that the entry was forbidden; or
    (2)
received notice to depart but failed to do so.
    (b) For purposes of this section:
    (1)

    Entry

means the intrusion of the entire body.
    (2)

    Notice

You know that law is not the one for CHLers carrying a handgun, right?
