A Colt Huntsman circa 56 or 57 that a buddy gave me. Seems the front sight is a bit cocked left so it shoots a little off. I'm not crazy about the gun the mag is giving me some issues and getting a few more is a pia so far. But my question is ideas on the best way to cock the sight back straight again?

    Pliers and leather

Take some thick leather. You can cut a piece off old boots, belt, whatever you got around. Sandwich the sight in a folded over piece of leather. Carefully take some pliers(or 6" crescent wrench) and see if you can < easily > bend the sight blade to where you want it. If you don't care about the finish too much, forego the leather and just use a crescent wrench. Just don't go heavy handed.

If that didn't work. I would try to persuade it with a brass drift punch, ball peen hammer. Braced to where the sight blade takes most of the force. And the barrel stays put.

Its hard to tell you how to do it. It's one of those, hand it over and let me see it.
