    But man, it sure makes it hard to go for a ride. I started to head to work late this morning - was going to make some extra calls.... but I got soaked before I got half way there and just turned around.

    I did manage to make a quick dash to the HEB to get a few things without getting wet but that's about it. Been raining off and on. And supposed to keep it up for the next two days - so.... there goes the weekend.

    On the bright side, it is cooler out.

    Right at the second most wet month in recorded history. Most of all the aquifer has gone from 647 to 676 and still rising.

    In spite of all this rain, my pond has only had standing water 2x. That is because the rain has been light and slower vs heavy and downpour. Couple of years ago my pond overflowed the dam...not easy at 125 ft x 65 ft x 10 feet deep. So far this year the deepest it got has been about 4 ft
