    Okay - I have a S&W Shield .40, because I like the thumb safety. I also have a S&W 9c that also has a thumb safety.

What I really want to round out my set is a 40c, but it also HAS to have the thumb safety.

I have my name on a list at the Powderhorn (new or used), but I think it'll be a while before is one available.

I'd be willing to part with my Glock 23 Gen4 and three mags (for the 40c plus $100).

Do y'all think this is a good idea?

We all have our preferences, but why so much concern for a thumb safety?

It's just my preference - I can draw and shoot just as well with or without the thumb safety, and I like all the guns I carry to have the same features.
