    I get the concern because it would eventually require a registry for it all to work. I don't think that would make it all the way through though.

    I'm more concerned about concessions of sovereignty. Treaties shouldn't be entered into unless absolutely necessary. They typically limit our options in the future and provide little benefit to us. We should limit treaties to terms when ending a war, not on this week's "social justice" whim.

    How does a treaty with other countries affect the laws in my state?

    In light of recent events and conduct on the part of US DOJ and ATF, I think the real question at this point is how do the laws in your state, any other state, or federal laws for that matter limit what the govt will do?

    Exactly; very well put. As with so many other issues these days, unnecessary over-use renders a thing worthless over time.
