.........Of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. My IQAMA ( their equivalent of a green card) has finally been approved!!!

I wish U.S. would have as stringent standards on who comes here to work.

I have had multiple physicals, blood draws, fingerprints and eye scans, as well as extensive criminal background checks and reference checks to verify that I was qualified to do the work I was hired to do over here.

Oh, and illegals are dealt with harshly and fined heavily.

We deal with them pretty harshly too. Make 'em sign forms for food stamps, Section 8 housing, free school lunches, free cell phones, AFDC, Medicaid, all kinds of paperwork we make 'em sit down and fill out. There outta be a law against that kind of harsh treatment.

    Sounds like fun.

My last job was fun. Worked for the City of Austin in the Wildland Conservation Division. I was a ranger. Got paid to patrol a 14,000 acre endangered species preserve and hunt pigs year round( in addition to hunting deer for population management under a MLD Permit) chase out trespassers, and other land management activities.

I left the City late last year to take this job. I like it well enough, but it is not as fun as being a Wildland Ranger. It does pay a lot better, with better benefits.

Not as far apart as one would think. HSE stands for Health, Safety, and Environmental. Have lots of experience in all three, just a different application in the oil field.
