I think back home he would be treated the same. I don't know the judges there now. But the majority of populace there would be on his side, imo.If it happened today, they would want to burn him at the stake. If not worse.

Sometimes doing the right thing in the dark is not much better than doing the wrong thing in the dark.As noble as his actions were, he could have planned it better to allow him to escape uncharged. The most important part of any plan is the escape...
I keep telling me wife this, but she still says no.Sometimes doing the right thing in the dark is not much better than doing the wrong thing in the dark.

There wouldn’t have been a body in an alley. There would have been a POS sitting in a cell for years at the cost of tax payers. And sometimes being able to continue to do good things is more important than doing one-and-done.
What about the cops that had to arrest him? They now have to be the "bad guys" for arresting him. Easier for them to find the perp's body in an alley and list the case as "unsolved"....
AmenOnly thing wrong with the guys is him being found guilty instead of a jury nullification.

And nobody called the cops bad guys, lol.
No, he did it right. One pop, surrender, and he continued his life doing good things. Only thing wrong with the guys is him being found guilty instead of a jury nullification.
Well…don’t expect me to know all the facts before giving my opinion.Except that he pleaded “no contest” and no jury was involved.

See post #4.So....he chose prison instead of being able to stay with what is left of his family......
....still a bad plan.
Fair point. Mine was referring to owning one's choices, rather than hiding brave actions in the shadows...which unintentionally might be an inspiration for others. And sometimes being able to continue to do good things is more important than doing one-and-done.
