Guys, if you have ever wanted to experience one of the Civil War-era percussion muskets, this is a great way to scratch the itch. In .58 caliber, the three-groove barrel was made to shoot Minie balls, but this rifle shoots patched round balls just fine as well. It's in very good shape inside and out and the bore is excellent. It was manufactured by FARA in Italy, which I am told was an organization of Italian gunmakers out of which the firm Antonio Zoli emerged. This musket has a coil-spring vs. V-spring lock; it is fast and sure. The N-SSA skirmishers typically load these light -- say, 40 grains of FFg -- under minie balls for target competition, but you can turn up the heat very nicely with conicals or patched round balls for serious swat in the hunting fields. Asking $450 shipped.
