I've installed flash hiders before but never really paid much attention to the foot/pounds. On SureFires install video the guy is shown using a torque wrench with an armorers tool looking attachment. Now without spending too much money on a tool i'll probably hardly use, or if its cheap enough i'll buy one, is there any techniques I can use to get roughly 20-30 ft/lbs with a standard armorers tool?

    Thanks for the help.

Could you add a wrench to stretch it out a bit longer?

with a 12" lever you would need to apply 20-30# of weight. Twice as long is half the weight, half as long is twice the weight. My vote is to lengthen it to a multiple of 12".
