Russians seem to have a higher opinion of Iranian missiles than does anyone else.

1st, note who the OP is...

2nd this "article" proves what I have tried to explain where what is said in talkshows, even if wrong should be noted because it is the government hand in the glove of media trying to father a narrative and alter or create public opinion.

Now, to break down the text:

However, the Iranian position is much more nuanced and contains far greater threat not only to Israel but also to the entire United States presence in the region than the FT suggests. I say this on the basis of an analysis provided on last night’s edition of the Vladimir Solovyov talk show on Russian state television by a regular panelist, Semyon Arkadievich Bagdasarov, who is a leading Russian specialist on the region.

Solovyov and his show is nothing more than a propagandist mouthpiece for the kremlin/putin.

On the tactical side, the swarming of drones was intended to activate the Iron Dome and other levels of Israeli air defense and to reveal the location of their component parts as well as to deplete the Israeli stock of relevant missiles.

Bagdasarov explains that the Iranian attack was ‘limited’ because it consisted of rather slow moving drones and of missiles with small warheads. These were not Iran’s most advanced and lethal attack materiel, which has been held in reserve for any possible Round Two.

You may have seen the "they are holding the good troops/equipment/tactics back for the second wave of attacks before and just as before I believe this to be false, incorrect and misleading. If there were to be attacks on the irondome they would have needed to be followed up in withing minutes or hours, not days or weeks. This russian is posting about russians posting an unmodified version of what russians were saying was happening in Ukraine when the 3-day special military operation stretched into months and years...

Ah, similar to some thug unloading a magazine at you but then you return fire killing them. Then his mama says - why did you do that, he was a good boy and planned on being a rapper.

Plain and simple. The US is saying not to retaliate since this is the decades old feared area that could escalate quickly and impact oil prices. Yet someone send 300 missiles at the US and we would retaliate the same as Israel.

Agree with you. Except I am not so sure on the last sentence with Biden in office.

Agree with your first paragraph. For your second, I don’t think Obiden is worried about oil prices. If they were worried about Iran/ the ME, they would not have changed Trumps policies in the area. They just want to help Iran and hurt Israel.

Biden is absolutely worried about oil prices. He wants them kept down until the election. He does not want any gas price shocks to increase voter discontent.

Gas prices won’t matter in the selection. If they cared about gas prices then they wouldn’t have been so high since he was installed.

Are you aware that he emptied the SPR trying to lower prices?

You can care about something but not be able to effect the change you would like.

He does not have full control of gas prices. But he has taken numerous steps to try and contain them. Read up a little more.

No. I’m aware that he emptied the SPR to create a situation where we are more vulnerable. Emptying the SPR did not lower gas prices, it just changed the accounting of it. Before telling me to read up on it, you may want to get current on what’s been going on lately. Biden reading from his teleprompter that he’s worried about gas prices does not mean he’s worried about gas prices. His handlers actions show otherwise.

Umm. No. Putting more product in the market increases supply, having the effect of reducing price pressure. Basic economics 101.

Allowing US companies to buy oil from Venezuela? Concerned about prices. Discouraging retribution (and the US not striking back) against Iran? Concerned about prices. He doesn't care about the impact on people. He does care about the impact on voting.

And as K pointed out above, he is looking for things that will ease the impact of his actions on domestic production. Actions taken to appease the far left.

When the SPR was tapped, we used oil from there to “lower” gas prices. That oil has to be replenished, and when you replenish it at the same price that oil cost when the decision to tap the SPR was made, the only thing you’re doing is shifting some of the cost from the pump to the US national debt.

We have also historically bought oil from Venezuela. The only recent change there was removing recently imposed sanctions on Venezuela.

I really don't understand why we would export oil if we are also importing oil. Hoping someone here can make sense of that.

Glad you got in touch with reality.

I never said draining the SPR was a good thing. It was STUPID. But it was done by Biden to lower prices.

He doesn't understand without the SPR release prices would have climbed so remaining steady is a relative decrease..
