I don't remember seeing any signs during my visits.

Looking at their website, yes. But it hasn't been updated for Con Carry.

    9. No unauthorized use of firearms. (Concealed and open carry allowed with permit only)

So no shooting people in the face....unless it is authorized.

Back when the Travis Letter returned to the Alamo a few years back, I carried. Everyone was getting wanded. I gave my CHL to the security officer. He switched off the metal detecting wand before he swept me. He told me, "Just keeping you concealed," and smiled.

Jail is jail if you're in the wrong and a cop is having a bad day.
Yeah it's always funny until it isn't.

It’s a cute trope, but not applicable in this scenario.

Both state specific law and data supports my statement; standard disclaimer of criminal background and assholery towards an LEO apply.

I was a little surprised to learn that you can carry concealed in the Capitol Building in Austin...... just let the guards at the entry know about it, and proceed....

actually, I made that sound a little easier than it was. I had to go to the guards, show them my LTC, and then proceed on in.

I went this past summer. Showed mine and they let myself and my wife and daughter bypass the detector I was surprised as last time a few years ago I bypassed and they went thru.
