Item is pending research for 6 weeks, any suggestions?

So I tried to register a SBR under the ATF Final Rule 2021R-08F, my lower is marked multi cal, I commented to register it as 7.62 cal.
The drop down suggestion listed several options on the ATF site, but not 7.62.
Its still pending.
Should I wait to see if they act on my request for 7.62?
Or withdraw, register it as 556, and later request to change to 7.62?

Did you eFile? If so, yes, withdraw it and enter either 5.56 , .223, or .30. They're probable stuck trying to figure out how a 7.62x51 would fit in an AR-15.

I've had two approval for 7.62 SBRs.

It doesn't say 7.62x51, just 7.62, which could be .300 Blackout or 7.62x39.

OP what did you put down for manufacturer and model number? Was either or both of those in the pull down menu?

So I was trying to do this on a trust.
Drop down choices were 223, 556.
My other problem may have been, as I can best decipher, ATF wanted proof the receiver was in the trust already. I didn't have that documentation.
I withdrew the original request, started a new one (5.56) as an individual, and went through immediately.
I may later try to "re-assign" this piece to 7.62.
I have 7.62x39 and 300 blackout uppers.

The system sucks, no way around that. It's possible that no factory rifles on that receiver were ever made in anything but 223/556
