I recently bought a used SD9VE in very good condition from Blackjack Gunsmith here in Austin. They had put an Apex trigger in it. They gave me a good price out the door and I was very satisfied. This gun shoots nice with the new trigger in it. So much negativity on YouTube about the original trigger. With this one mod this gun is now a keeper.
I also shot my new Taurus PT22 Poly. Right out of the box without a strip and lube. The first magazine was all Failure-To-Feed and stovepipes. After that, hardly any problems. An occasional stovepipe and a Failure-to-Fire but it has a double strike capability so I pulled again and bang. Stopped at 90 rounds (I was shooting CCI mini mags, 40grn HPs). The gun was beginning to smooth out, but I was tired and wanted to clean and lube the Taurus before I tried again. Also want to bring my extra MecGar mags to shoot it to dependability.
If you have a SD9VE or SD40VE I whole heartly recommend the Apex trigger job! You'll like it.
