Wow what a whirlwind. Got my RGN email on Oct 3, get my order call on Oct 4 and submitted my FFL info and less than 24 hours and it is here!
Super happy with what I received: a 1943 Remington Rand frame and Remington Rand slide. Barrel is a post-war replacement from the 60's a believe, with a nice chrome lined bore.
It has a few dings and scratches as expected but man this is nice for rack grade, I'll take it. I like the look of the wear. The left grip is a newer replacement, might try and find an older one to match the more worn but old grip on the right. A little slide rattle but that means it got used.
Gotta love that you can buy guns from the government. Can't wait to get it to the range! Thanks for looking and good luck to everyone else!
