I hate to sell this very rare and historical H&K USP, but a desire for a MK 23 forces sale!
This is a 1992 build USP9 V1 with serial # 22-020. This is a prototype 9mm built on a .40 frame, thus the "22" prefix. H&K will not provide me with any official documentation on this pistol. All the facts I am listing is straight from several conversations I have had with the good folks at H&K customer service, of whom read me the facts off of their screen while accessing their database. All of these facts can be verified by anyone calling the customer service department.
- serial # 22-020 is a "Testing and Evaluation" preproduction prototype USP9 brought from Germany to the US
- serial # match between the slide, frame and official box
- serial #s "22-001 - 22-019" do not exist in their database, making this the first USP9 on US shores
- only USP9 with a "22" prefix
- genuine "KC - 1992" build year USP(commercial sales for USPs did not begin until 1993, or "KD")
- inside of the slide, above the barrel is a hand etched number of "31" or "32"
- this USP stayed with H&K USA from the time of its arrival from Germany until 2010
- comes with original matching box, with serial#, one (10) rd magazine, lock and manual
- number of rounds through this USP is unknown
- previous owner shot "about 150 rounds" through it
- I have not yet fired any rounds through it
