Damn, Ray had a gun stolen? That sucks.
Yeah bud, luckily they only broke into the cab, the AK's and lever rifles as well as 6 other handguns were in the back. We were parked right next to em and had 6 or 7 guns in the jeep as well.

If I recall, this has happened to others who posted dates and times of gatherings, especially of places to meet for eats after a shoot.

These days, about anyone can find a way to rip you off by searching the internet (photos, association with specific events, vehicles, phone numbers, license plate numbers, etc.).

It's a shame, but it happens more often than one would expect.

Sadly, we pay a high price for sharing our interests on-line, especially vehicles, valuables, and firearms.

We might be pretty proud of what we drive and shoot, but to openly display them only invites theft.

Until we know with certainty that the information we share with others is closely held and trusted, these events will continue unabated.

    Think OPSEC!

My regrets for your friend's loss.

    Be well.

    Someone recently said:

"We were parked right next to em and had 6 or 7 guns in the jeep as well.

... what really pisses me off is the GF and I eat there all the time and live right around the corner from the place."

Perhaps someone was on to you?

Sometimes we set ourselves up for unhappy results.

Thieves don't give us a break, ever.

    Be well.

You guys crack me up with your conspiracy theories. Nobody stalked him on the internet and then bothered to steal only one firearm out of his vehicle. The truth lies in the details. The f350 was broken into and the Jeep wasn't. There are two types of Ford trucks in San Antonio, those that have been broken into and those that will.

The great country of West Texas
Was a pretty good drive from the range, about 30 minutes. The CHef had a pistol stolen a month or so ago as well.
That sucks. When you gotta hide your guns and leave them in your vehicle, I guess this is what we have to deal with. Man buy's himself a nice 45 and some piece of crap comes along and steals it out of his truck.
