Female shooter at Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church killed, 7-year-old child also shot

A female shooter is dead following a shooting at Joel Osteen's church near downtown Houston.

Shooting happened around 1400 during the Spanish service.

Shooter was a 35 year old woman, with a 4 year old in tow. She used a long gun.

Gunman reported down (not by an officer)

ETA- in the conference, they said the female shooter brought a 5 year old and also had explosives. It was not clear if it happened in the church or if the child injured is the one she brought.

That's the church we attend, we usually go to the 11am service. We have seen the security in action a few times, crazy people attend but you never know who. I carry concealed and probably not the only one.

What kind of crazy bitch takes a child with her while attempting a shooting? My only guess is that she wanted the child for a human shield.

The link in the op stated it was the child that was with her (the shooter) that was shot.

“The child that accompanied the shooter, a 5-year-old child, was shot and taken to Texas Children's Hospital in critical condition. A 57-year-old man was also shot in the leg and is said to be in stable condition.”
