    You need to quit focusing on the pedigree and look at things like racing record and gets racing results. I agree the Dam’s Sire is much more impressive than having Secretariat in the top side.....I would put more emphasis on having Mr. Prospector in your pedigree.

    I agree that that would be great IF the stallion HAD much of a racing record. = He was INJURED in a traffic accident when a truck hit the trailer that he was riding in & was thereafter too injured to compete.

    His ONLY 2 races were as a 2YO. - PLACED in one of the two.
    (I know a little about horses & MOST TBs are too immature at 2 to BE raced at all, imo.)

    That said, "Storm Cat" is KNOWN to have passed on his blazing speed to his progeny.
    (I followed "The CAT" racing career, from when he broke his maiden until he was retired to stud & made a considerable pile of money betting on him.)

    FWIW, MOST horsemen "focus upon" the SIRE. - Personally, I believe that DAM is just as important to success in a successful breeding program.
    (It is equally likely that they are correct & I am wrong.)
