    Hahaha. Yeah it's funny the BS they let slide on that forum. ;)

    That's the reason I don't even participate on that forum...too much BS (everytime I look through the forums I think of Gecko45). I just look through the classifieds from time to time though.

    It may just depend on the forum. I've never been on Glocktalk.

    On my HK forum, you are not allowed to comment on ads. That includes any comment, good or bad. So, no "that's it?" or "drooool" or "wish I had the cash" comments. You can only respond if you have a question pertaining to the sale or purchase or something along those lines.

    It sounds like they didn't like what put.

    That's pretty typical while some don't mind passive comments from time to time they try to curb them. But as a lot of forums call it, "crapping" in a for sale ad is generally not allowed in most, if not any classified forum I've ever seen.

    So ya, a sarcastic, "wow, 1100, thats it?" would fall under the "no crapping" rule.

    Yep.....HKpro. That's how I found out about this great forum.

    I will say it is inconsistantly policed.....but to cut & paste:

    "Let's please knock off the comments on sale ads. This includes salivating "If I only had the money, drooooooooool" replies etc.

    And any replies that denigrate the seller or his prices.

    The market sets the price.

    Violators will be suspended.

    TIA."

    I really don't care one way or the other, but this message has been stickied at the top of every page since August 21;

    If you do not like the price someone is asking on an item, you do not like the product itself or the way they described it, you do not like the seller, you think he should have posted what state he is selling in, you do not like the fact that he didn't put an asking price in the description, vote with your feet and do not buy his item, but DO NOT post a reply to his thread calling him on it. In fact, there are only a couple of things that warrant a reply being posted to an ad, including telling them you will take the item or asking a question directly related to the item or the sale, including a clarification on the physical description of the item which everyone might want to know. This does not include asking them how much they want for the item. If you want to discuss price, contact them privately. Haggling is not a spectator sport. Most communications on the meat of the sale should be handled privately anyway. If you have a problem with the item, the ad or the seller, keep it to yourself.

    I thought it was funny somebody wanted $1100 for a Glock. I like Glock, but they only have one or two models I would pay that price for and they don't sell those here (selectable full-auto fire). You can buy most used Glocks for $400-500.

    I am surprised that they banned you for your comment, it seems they would have been more likely to pm you a warning or temporarily suspend you.
