We just discussed on another thread that a Class C misdemeanor could keep you from getting a Texas CHL. That would include things like mooning someone or yelling things that could reasonably be expected to cause a fight.

The mindset in some of the northern cities is that the more rules and restrictions they put on permits (of any kind) the more likely the guys in charge will be able to collect bribes. I talked to some guys that put a pipeline through the Chicago area some years back and they had to buy special permits (cash only!) in every little area they passed through.
