So I'm looking for a gun that is going to be a little bit less expensive to shoot then my 1911.

    I'm looking for a 9mm mainly.....
    Possibly a kel-tec p11.
    Maybe a sub 2000.
    I'd even consider a hi-point 995.

Or go the other route and get a beretta neos, or a sig mosquito.

Definitely in the "cheaper is better" category at the moment.

Open to other ideas if you have something to offer, not absolutely set on what I've mentioned above.

    Thanks!

A 9mm will be cheaper to shoot, but not much cheaper than buying a new gun and ammo for it. I'd say get a 22, and I have had good luck with Rugers. The 22/45 matches the grip angle of your 1911.

    what?

    to the op -

i feel you on the .45 acp monetary issue. infact i actually sold / traded my 1911 for a p11. m(cash on top ofcourse)

we both felt good about that one

    i had a hi-point 995. and it served me well, but i eventually went to a .22lr /.22mag revolver ...
.22 lr is my alltime favourite cartridge. it is cheapest of all to shoot, (save for .177 bb guns... but those dont count lol) they are reasonably accurate, and effectie for most small game out to 50 yards easy...

did i mention they are a pleasure to shoot?
