I am looking for a compact fixed 4 or 6x to sit atop my 300 blackout pistol. Have a red dot on it currently, but seems my vision is not improving with age... I would like to stay under 200 bucks.

    Thanks in advance

I'd consider a long eye relief Burris. I think they only have the 2 3/4 power but I've used it on a rifle and it works great. You'll most likely need a long eye relief type or else you have to stick the pistol up close to your eyes.

    I love amazon Prime:

I'm needing to presume, maybe wrongly, that your 300BLK pistol will be shot rifle-like with a rifle-eye-relief optic.

The term "pistol" has, of late, been bent to mean a lot of things.

Cannot IMO go wrong with Luepold 1-4 for a titch over 200.

If you are shooting way out arms length as with a true pistol a red dot is perfect and I think magnified pistol optics offers no real advantage.
