Sage advice here. I check and re-torque every time someone touches the car, even if they don't explicitly "have" to remove the wheels. I've caught loose lugs a few times where I didn't think they pulled the wheels, but they apparently did. The last time I had the oil changed in my Camaro was at the dealer, part of the new car get 2 free deal. I checked the lugs the next day, and glad I did. Found a few around 40lb.ft. and some at 60'ish, none anywhere near spec (140lb. ft.). When I looked over the paperwork, part of their oil change service is a brake inspection.After anybody mounts your wheel(s) loosen it and torque it right. Takes just moments.
