Like many, I am seeing more and more complaints of cycle problems. Usually the first solution suggested is - up the load 1 or 2 grains, but if that doesn't work check the magazine. More often than not, the op comes back to say it was the mag.
Beyond the current artificial shortage, thanks to fear about legislation, it appears that production of magazines is significantly down and quality control is down even further.
i.e. I want to begin taking part in some of the fun IDPA matches but 4 or more magazines are required. I can't find 'em for either my S & W Sigma or Taurus PT111.
They're backordered everywhere including the manufacturer's sites. And when they do have them a couple or 3 mags cost as much as a used gun.
Either I am looking in the wrong places or have stumbled on a legitimate problem.
