Police say a customer shot a suspect who was robbing patrons in a restaurant, got their money back, returned it to the customers and then left the scene. He's wanted for questioning but is not charged.

I recall a bar (51%+) customer putting an end to an attempted robbery years ago, cops wanted to talk to him, too. Not sure if they ever did, though, and despite being a 'regular' everybody forgot his name!
Reality was the cops didn't have time or resources to devote to finding a justified shooter.
The decedent sounds like Thursday's Houston-area 'play stupid games, win stupid prizes' champion.
