Just got a Calvary carbine all matching numbers serial A01** for $250 today at the local pawn shop. If i can ever find the charger for my camera i will post pics. Does anyone know anything about these other than that they are classified as an Antique.

'98 or '91? Both came in carbine configuration, but you don't see many '91s anymore. Century imported a BUNCH of 98 carbines some years back. Mine's a good shooter.

Neat find and good price. The 1891 Mausers are nice rifles, a bit clunky compared to later models with the flush magazine, but probably better made. Should be good to go for any commercial/surplus 7.65x53 ammunition that is out there.
