It is a Tasco red dot. When I first saw the gun the only think I could think was Star Trek. When I got it in my hands I was sold. I refuse to buy a gun until I hold it. I thought I was going to get a Ruger 22/45 until I held it. This is my first Beretta.
I have a lot of fun with mine. It's a 6-inch barrel. After shooting it a few months, I put a Tru-Glo green/red dot sight on it, but it's dead on with the iron sights.
Range Report:First of all this gun is a blast to shoot, just wished I could have someonestanding there reloading my mags. The gun functioned flawlessly. About 200rounds down the pipe without one malfunction. I would recommend this gun toanyone looking for a .22lr pistol for plinking. I removed the red dot when Igot to the range just see how accurate the sights were. Impressive to say theleast. No problem keeping the rounds in a 6" circle at 25 yards. I wasusing Winchester bulk 22lr for ammo. Theonly problem I have is me, I am a lefty living in a right handed world. I with the gun had an ambidextrous mag release. Other than that, I love it.
