From El Diario newspaper: I will translate underneath original statement

the americans insisted that the bilateral cooperation is getting better for a greater application of the E-trace and Gunrunner programs by which when a gun is recovered in MEXICO, it is detected in a data base in the United States, which gives the STATE in which the firearm was purchased and in some cases it will trace the name of the buyer.

the original article is from a meeting in which Christopher Dodd was discussing that the US climate was not ready to "tackle" gun ownership. He was discussing this with ....MEXICO!!!

So not only does big brother keep a list of your guns, he also shares this with our NON CORRUPT neighbor Mexico. If you have not joined the NRA or other progun right groups...you should think about who is going to work for your rights, because our senator surly is not.

I would put very little faith in this news report.....sounds like Dodd is telling the Mexicans what he thinks they want to hear. Telling them what sttate a gun was sold in is not very specfic information.

Obviously the Drug Cartels have more $$$$ to spend on various weapons than the Mexican Government, The Drug Cartel pay is higher than a Mexican Soldier or Marine's, The Drug Cartels do not conduct business as "A better product for less money", but kill their competitors. Or anyone else they don't like or gets in their way. The drug and guns and murder will only continue or even worsen until the real culprit is eliminated.....The drug market in the United States and the users in the United States.

Wake up Washington, Wake up State Legislators, kill the demand and you kill the supply ! Drug Czars evidently just don't work.
