A friend of mine has one on an AR. I borrowed it for a while last year. Nice scope. Millett has a rep for building a tough scope. My only gripe with this one is that I found the reticle/dot to be a little large particularly past 100yds.

Had the 1-4 variant on a AR and it was total crap. Wouldn't hold zero for squat so YMMV. Bought it cause the 4-16 Millet I had on a different gun was decent for the price.

Glad with informative response Thanks! I read one says in some article that the windage/elevation adjustments weren’t perfect on the Millett, especially when making small refinement changes, but once zeroed it held it’s settings perfectly. Also, The illumination must be manually turned off and the battery life is not great? but bottom line for the price and make is great! I

I don't have any experience with the DMS-2, but I used to have a DMS-1. It was ok, but not worth the price in my opinion. You can get a Leupold VX1 for the same price and it's a much better scope.

I've got a DMS-1, and it has held up well sitting on top of an AR. Price has jumped about $50 since I bought mine when it was first released.

It was had for $199 + free shipping and no tax.

    I have no regrets.
