Without discrimination everyone gets a chance to bring home the bacon today.

But I'm using my time off to bring home the bacon...

It's a beautiful day to work. Saw Alveta King (MLK's neice) on a t.v. Show lastnight. She talked about MLK, and how we have been fed the liberal version of what he stood for.

Well, heck Sterling, maybe when we have our "White Miss America" pageant or when our "White Chamber of Commerce" meets, you could sneak in a day off.....snicker. Perhaps the NAAWP (National Assoc For the Advancement of White People) could work on that!

Oh crap....my gut hurts from laughing! I hope that you have a great MLK day. Be careful out there!

MLK wasn't a saint and had many flaws. He did however, fit into a slot where he changed the world. It was the right place and the right time and he gave his life for what he believed in.

Long ago, (1975-1985), I had a chance to participate in something that made a real difference for Humanity. Eight of us started an organization that changed a lot of lives and made this a better place. I was the very first president of the group.

None of us knew that what we were doing would have such a dramatic effect on our society while we were doing it. Looking back, it's easy to see how the trail of life was made better because of what we did.

I don't equate what we did to what MLK did but it points out that each of us has a role and an opportunity to make this a better World even if it's only by keeping our little corner of it cleaned up.

I see what MLK did was similar. He probably never knew that what he did would make a difference.

I kid around a lot but I'm flying my flag in his honor today..
