Kalashnikov AK-74 was developed in 1970 based on the design of the famous Kalashnikov AK-47. In 2011, the Russian Defense Ministry refused to purchase all types of AK, referring to the occupancy of warehouses. Later, it was planned to move to a new machine, and available stocks of AK-74M to sell or dispose of.
