This girl, from Arkansas, showed up on the door step of my back yard recording studio in Houston Heights about 1982.

She had just written this song, was recording it on a demo, and tried it out for the first time at local folk club (Anderson Fair for those old time Houstonians) the night this was recorded.

She ain't left yet ...

This was around 1988, same club as above. Kinda long, so started it at a Texas song as it might get tedious from the beginning if you're not a fan of Texas singer/songwriter period.

My old buddy, Bill Cade, just recently passed ... another in a long line of band mates no longer around.
