She is wacked out in this one, but I read where she has gotten clean. Man, she can rock.

    Something here touches me.
Solo human voice is the ultimate musical instrument.

Darrell Scott is an amazing singer songwriter. He's amazing on stage if you ever have the fortune.

His album "10" is a compilation of songs written by Ben Bullington, a young deceased physician, friend of Darrell's.

"Born in '55" is a review of the 60's politics.....Kennedy, Viet Nam, Woodstock, MLK and so on.

    The song probes my soul.

If you want melancholy listen to "I've Got to Leave You Now". Ben Bullington's last composition as he was passing life. The last song on the "10" album.

So this is NOT a George Strait song?

Nope, an old swing tunes from the 20's.
Bob most likely recorded it because many of the musicians, particularly on horns, who played with him in the 30's came from a big band, jazz/swing background. That's what was so unique about his music ... it gave it that undeniable "swing" that was the hallmark of the big bands of the era.

Here's the band I played with (bass) for 12 years doing the same song, and our steel player, Herb Remington, played with Bob Wills from 1945 to 1951, so he kept us true to genre.
