I'm fighting the urge to write a long essay about the history, technique, traditions, and rules of wielding a mace. There was a time in my life when I wanted nothing more than to be that guy, the drum major, out in front and using the mace the way I thought it should be used. Instead, I'll demur with just one comment.

To wit - It sure was interesting to see such different and sometimes contradictory styles in front of one assembled group.
