My Ruger 10/22 Conversion / Target Upgrade (with pics)

Got a pile of parts for my 10/22 finally in one place, so here's a short build / update thread. This was fun.

Stock Ruger 10/22 Carbine

Here - I've managed to make a perfectly good gun into pieces.

Finished (for now) beast!

I'm ready to go to the range and sight it in. Should be a fun little target beast.

I really like how it turned out. It's MUCH heavier than it was - that's for sure.

Mine is a boat anchor, but it really smooths out shooting it off a bench or prone.

We need to go shoot it and see what it'll do.

When I converted mine I just used a black synthetic stock, with blued barrel...

I also like the all black look. I got a deal on the hammer forged barrel so I went a little bit custom. Otherwise I would have bought black.
