Inexpensive, works great, sharpens easily. Carry one daily.

My 3 Kershaw's have lasted 10+ yrs. I dropped one and the plastic bit that holds the tip of the knife broke. I emailed Kershaw and they sent me the parts plus other replacement screws I didn't need. Another survived a motorcycle wreck when I slid ~50' with just a scratched up clip.As said above.. need a new EDC ..what to go with?

I hate these threads. They make me want to go out and buy more knives.I love these threads. There are so many options and variables. I pulled a SOG Aegis and a Kizer Frame lock out of the drawer to carry for the week. I have about 50 in the drawer and that doesn't include the old school pricey items. I mostly favor frame lock flippers with ball bearing action to open with either hand. 3.25-3.5 being a good blade length

This is my EDC carry as well along with a Style CS. Small scissors and a tiny blade come in handy in nonpermissive environments.....Having carried both fixed and folders over many years and then somewhere back in there a GF gave me a Swiss Army knife. Well I told her I loved it but in fact it weighs in at nearly a pound and has more blades n stuff than Lindsay Lohan has been stuck. Somewhere its stuck in a box along with a plethora of leatherman and the likes that I have never used. But it did give me pause to think. The concept of the Swiss Army/Leatherman is good, problem is there is to much junk. Then I discovered the Leatherman Skeltool CX

What I like about it is that it does not a a 1000 functions. Knife, pliers w/wire cutter, phillps and flat blade screw driver, has a belt carabiner which is also a beer opener, weighs only 5 oz, blade is 154CM steel. I love the thing and its a RARE day that I don't use it for something. Its been my EDC for about 10 years and I will never go back to a single blade knife again. This thing is too useful to ever switch back. Especially when I am out on my place and the barn and shop is a long walk to to get a screwdriver or a wire cutter.
If you have the need its the way to go!
