It's pretty, I'll give them that. And they'll sell quite a few just because of the name on it.

I wish them the best of luck but they aren't selling to me.

I'm really surprised it's that inexpensive. Last I heard, something of that quality couldn't be made in today's market for less that $2K....and closer to $3K.

CNC and redesigned innards with less/little hand fitting required is my guess. They were $1500 MSRP right before they got discontinued too.

I liked shooting the King Cobra so if they do this right, I could see buying a Python. This video doesn't help I admit. Wonder if they'll put them out in any other calibers?

The guy in the video said it uses 14 fewer parts in the action......that's quite a few....

I notice they don't show the lock work. I'm guessing it's just a Cobra internally.

Which isn't necessarily a deal breaker. The first thing I noticed about my 2019 Cobra was when you pulled the trigger all the way back the cylinder locked up tight with no movement just like my 1970s Python.

If they kept that but lightened and smoothed out the DA pull on this new model most shooters would be pleased.

I'd like to get one just to compare against the vintage gun. Some times the new model ends up being the better shooter. My German P210 Legend has a far better trigger pull, better ergos (US style mag release & beavertail), and more durable frame than my original Swiss-made miltary P210.
