I have naively trusted gun manufacturers to deliver fully functional firearms to the buying public.
On more than one occasion, I was sorely disappointed with my purchases over the past 12 years.
To Wit:
IAI M666 .30 Cal Carbine: Defective Gas Piston, Failure to Cycle.
Taurus M-85: Shattered recoil shield.
Springfield M1911A1: Defective slide.
Pro-Ordnance Carbon 15, Type 97: Out of spec chamber.
Ruger LCP: Recall
Ruger Vaquero: Recall
Ruger SR9: Recall
Walther USA S&W PPKS-1: Recall
Walther PK380: Defective take-down wedge/key
H&K AR-15/M-16 Magazine: Defective base plate.
In fairness, all the above gun makers made good on my warranty claims.
It's just a shame that they cannot make them work the first time.
I did get a few "gimme" caps, decals, and stickers out of my troubles, though.
What's your experience?
Next, let's talk about our super-reliable guns straight from the box.
Shortround Out! Rounds Complete!
