WTF, titanium alloy Enfield revolver in one of the .32 calibers!? They should have stuck with the old .38-200 load that the Brits used. That crap worked, and even out of a lightened gun, recoil wouldn't be an issue.

I have no objection to a small .32 revolver for defensive use. If that's all that's available, it can be used effectively. It's not ideal but it shouldn't be dismissed.

HOWEVER, the price is almost USD$2,000.00! That's utterly ridiculous and will guarantee that the women who need this thing the most won't be able to get one.

    From the article:

"In a state where government offers arms licences as incentive to achieve wheat procurement and immunization targets, it is not surprising that a total of 11,22,814 persons have licensed arms as per the state home department records."

If the government was really interested in the safety of our citizens including women, they should open the doors for import of moden arms for law abiding citizens. This initiative should include streamlining the arms licencing process and making it more easy for the common citizen to acquire licences. A moden pistol like the GLOCK costs barely Rs. 20,000/- internationally. This is just a half hearted ploy by our redundant and hopelessly backward IOF to palm off a 100 year old design that it has shamelessly copied whilst trying to "make hay while the sun is shining."

I agree with you 100% friend. It would also be nice for folks in India to be able to own semi-automatic rifles like the AR-15 or copies of the AK pattern rifle. Which have been proven to be highly reliable sporting as well as defensive arms.

Paul, The trouble with us indians is that we have been so 'brainwashed' by our governments into being obedient subjects that some of us cant even begin to think like free citizens. We cant imagine a free citizen picking up or owning arms for his own safety!

Ah Grashoppa.....this weapon is intended to only get into the "correct" hands.
    Common people need not apply.
