While I don't agree with everything he said (the grip safety doesn't bother me, but my primary carry weapon is a XD; and I think Springfield was smart to release the XDs in .45 before .40 or 9mm), I think he still pretty much nailed this review!

I tried searching for this thread during my lunch break. I got an instock notification from my favorite discount retailer. $499 shipped. I passed as I've been spending the dough on new pistols lately, including a nice starter 45 1911. I was trying to give the board a heads up in case someone wanted it. it's gone now unfortunately.

I shot one at a demo day this weekend. It was a neat gun and shot good, but man these ultra compact handguns are just too thin for me.
