I've decided recently to get a bit more familiar with the Texas gun culture and it's not always easy to do living in Austin.
Anyway, a little about me:
I'm a vet. I like to shoot. I don't hold any illusions of my own immortality/mortality. I wish there were decent ranges closer to Austin but it doesn't surprise me there aren't. I just plan shooting days now and head to Best of the West.
As for firearms, I love XDs, I really love anything bullpup, and I am not a firearms snob. I know that a shooter with years of experience and a thousand dollars for formal training with a Hi Point is going to outshoot someone with a 1911 race gun any day.
Anyway, that's it.
I'm looking forward to participating in the discussions around here. I'm very pleased the concealed carry forum appears so level headed, and I'm looking forward to buying and selling as well.
