There is No AR on earth that will ever equal an MIA. And ARs are a dime a dozen hell a kid can put one together While watching TV. Ps Springfield has added the 6.5 To the lineup.

The 1930s called. . . .M1A. Period.

The big question is what do you want to do with it? And here is why, putting glass on a M1A can be an ordeal. First optic I put on my SOCOM 16 was an Eotech, worked fine for a hog hunting trip. I don’t like scout style scopes, personal preference. I want an ACOG. Okay, about $1k for that. Now, how do you mount it? Trijicon and another brand both make ACOG mounts, $500-700, just for the mount. A good rail that elimates the need for a scout scope is also several hundred dollars. You’ll also need a stock with an adjustable riser to bring you up to the glass.Been seeing some deals lately and started wondering what the next rifle should be. Been wanting a 7.62/.308 but can't decide between "AR-10" and M1A.
What are you guy's thoughts?

Buy it used. Situation avoided.Until it comes time to sell or trade.
I'd love to see your gun with the 3.39in bore!Well in our current political climate...I woud say we all need a .12 gauge break action loaded up with number 9 skeet loads. That should work.
