Bought a pistol on gunbroker (well put it on lawaway until i recieve my Texas DL) I shot Shiloh an email and Tracy replied back letting me know the fee's and general info for the FFL transfer(only heard good things about Shiloh as well). Having moved from NY at the end of October just wondering if I will run into any problems with NICS because of my recent move. Purchased 5 or 6 long guns since NICS was in place and never had any issues or delays(all in NY state though). Thanks.

You shouldn't, especially if you put your SSN on the 4473. All the NICS is for is to check your criminal record, they don't confirm or even care about residency - that's up to the FFL to determine.

I'd think that if you can buy a gun in New York, you could buy one just about anywhere else - at least that's the impression I get from what I've read about the gun laws there.

Welcome to Houston, BTW! You'll love the "winter" weather we have here. ;)
