Is it that (can't argue against it), or is it more likely that money has completely taken over sports, and they insist that all those seats be filled so they can pay those obscene salaries?

I agree with his nation of wussies comment. I remember the days when football was played rain or shine. I miss the days when games would turn into a "mud bowl," uniforms were ripped, and guys sucked it up and toughed it out while the blood flowed. And the fans? They turned out regardless of the weather too.

I agree... calling off a FOOTBALL game because of weather?

    What about the Ice Bowl?

Seriously, I about crapped when I realized that I agreed with Ed Rendell on anything.

Call me crazy ... but I always thought sports were more fun in the rain. When it rained out baseball practice we'd all play football in the field, LOL. Covered in mud, cuts, and alot of bruises, but damn was it fun!

Soon, all NFL games will be played under the dome in the ac/heat. Let's just go ahead and order those pink jerseys for the quarterbacks while we are at it.
