Don't know if there is any legal way for them to do this, but it might start a trend. Illinois breaking away from Chicago, Rural NY ditching NYC, Rural California booting the west side of the state out, Texas kicking Austin to the curb................

It would be colorful and fun to watch.

It's too bad that a lot of people focus on just the gun issue.

The secession movement stems from "a growing urban-rural divide," with state lawmakers in Denver passing sweeping gun control legislation and calling for more renewable energy and less oil and gas production—a big part of northern Colorado's economy.

So not only are they dicking around with gun owners, they're screwing the rest of the population with their green weenie bullshit.

I just ran into a coworker last night who is a CO resident, he's also a big 2A supporter. His impression is that this is all about fracking, that it is a huge part of the economy in the northern part of the state. He also said that without boulder, pueblo, colorado springs, and now denver, the rest of the state is really Wyoming.
