Your "tag" is not connected to your LTC. A good dispatcher will conduct a DL check on the registered owner of a vehicle, and some departments MDTs are programmed to do that automatically; however, the LTC database is only directly connected to the DPS DL/ID database.
OK....I mis-spoke.......they run the license plate and find out who the registered owner is. Then the officer has access to DL info......therefore....the officer knows if you have an LTC before he even gets out of his car. Of course this is if the driver and owner are the same.

    Maybe he's talking about a 3.5# disconnect....

That’s possible. Thing about a Glock is that there is more the one way to affect trigger pull and reset, but that’s a good guess. I was thinking more along the lines of a drop in trigger but that was just me ass-u-ming that, and I’ve been wrong... once before.

Yeah, and not all systems are sophisticated enough to do it automatically, and a dispatcher having time to do it is often dependent on the radio traffic volume. The MV database does not provide DOB of the registered owner, so if you are John Smith, or Juan Hernandez it is unlikely that the cross check is complete. ;)

Automated systems are good, but a great dispatcher can use other relate-able items such as address, etc. A good, proactive dispatcher is valuable.
